Okay so…

I went to court on wednesday on an unpaid ticket and a little spat at casino morongo last december lol dont ask. Anyways I havent had a licence in like 3 years but I have one now YAY! Relieves a lot of stress knowing I\’m not going to jail if I get pulled over.

I went fishing on Friday over the mountain in Lake Hemet. It was windy most of the day but still beautiful. Between me and my buddy Paul we caught 4 trout 2 blue gill and 1 carp. Overall very relaxing and quite the day. On a bad sidenote…I got the most wicked sunburn on top of my head. Pretty gross.

Im really excited about vegas coming up…I cannot wait I haven\’t played much poker at alll lately. I will most likely play some games that In terms of br management i have no businss being in but what the hell, I\’ve been broke, I\’ve been comfortable I\’m okay with both but what I want is the next level. I know it will not be built overnight however i also believe that if I never take shots I\’ll never know what could of or might have been. Either way I\’m okay with whatever happens.

I also just wanted to say how proud I am of my sister. She is graduating in June. She was a 3 sport athlete and has set numerous records not just at her school but at the 7 other schools in our area. She is a true inspiration for everyone. I regret not going to more of her meets. However the few that I did go to including her final 2 did not cease to amaze. Thats about all for tonight gl in all your endeavors.

Well i haven\\\’t updated in a while main reason being i haven\\\’t played much at all. I took 20th on monday night in the stars 109 20k guarentee for like $300 BFD! My moms 50th b-day was on friday night so i took her, my sister, and my granda to KOBE steakhouse. I love that place. The food is always fresh and cooked in front of you. Other than that I have decided that I am not worthy to play in any events at this years wsop. The only event i may play is event #2 the 1500 (really the 1st event) because of the huge field. 750k est 1st place. Other than that I have decided that i will spend most of june in vegas playing downtown at binions and the nugget. They both have excellent poker series running throughout june. Caesars is also spreading a great deepstack series but I\’m not sure im up for 50min levels everyday. I will also be dabbling in some higher stakes mix games…they have a very nice 40-80 at bellagio which might even be too big for daily play…Nothing wrong with taking shots though! Another thing i have come to realize is that i have ABSOLUTELY no regard for money, which is very sad and concerning me greatly. I have gone busto before. Mostly from taking shots way over my head. I remember 1 time i sat in a 3k min game with a 4k bankroll lol. Good Stuff anyways thats about all for now. Really cant wait for vegas.

Well I busted out of the $550 on the 3rd hand lol. My earliest exit from a tournament so far. The hand came down like this…1 limper, I raise kk on button to 250(3000 starting chips). SB calls limer folds. Flop comes down 3-6-J rainbow. He bets pot of about 650…i tank, almost fold and the push it in like the donk i am…instacalled by pocket 3s. Gone with the wind!

I really feel like I\’m playing pretty well right now but the variance seems to have piled up on me lol. I have decided that for the next 10 days i will play 25 $12 s&gs on stars everyday mainly too re-evaluate my play for good or for bad.

Still runnin badly, played in 2 satellites today @ $125 a piece. First one…5 handed (sb) Q9, folds around I limp bb checks. flop Q, 10, 4 rainbow I check, he bets 600 into 800 pot. I push 1700 total. Instacall by AQ out in 5th. 2ND satellite 3rd hand blinds are 25-25 1200 starting chips 1 limp I raise mp to 150 call by bb and limper…(yeah they\’re that loose) flop 5-7-9 2 clubs 1 diamond. Check, check, I bet 300, bb makes it 600 ep limper goes all in I fold leaving about 7-800 behind me. bb calls flips over A9DD ep flips up nut straight 6-8. I end up getting blinded down to 500 before pushing w/ AJSS and getting called by AA lol. I made about $300 profit overall though today w/ side games so I don\’t feel too bad ;}

I have decided to play tomorrows $550 as these events are paying 50-70k each. Wish me luck as a big cash would really put me over the top this month which is already one of my best ever. Im pretty excited even w/ my current downswing that I can really make a dent in this years wsop. Time will tell

I  went down to my local casino on sunday night to play some 25-50 limit…it plays as a double kil which is pretty interesting, It was playing 100-200 when the following hand came up…

I looked down in 2nd pos. (bb is killer) at 22 (1300 or so behind) i raised, folds around bb calls.

flop 2-4-9 rainbow, he bets, i raise, he reraises, i call.

turn 8s (2 sades on board) he bets, i raise, 3bet, 4bet.

Thats my bad beat for the week…

I decided to drive to vegas today for the wsop circuit @ caesers palace today.It looks like a pretty good turnout so far. Event #1 $500 payed 73k for first so im pretty excited to be here to play this series. I played 4 s&gs tonight and chopped 1 for a net loss of -$185, my money never once went in bad so i cant be to upset. I plan on getting an early start tomorrow playing s&gs and hopefully make enough to play in the $1500 buy-in on wednesday…really the only event I want to play.

I am not really sure where to start.

My name is Brandon and I am 22 years old. I currently play poker for profit (not a living…yet)

My main reasons for starting and keeping this blog updated are as follows…

*Keep a truthful record of any and all poker played no matter how big, small, good, or bad it may be.

*Give back no matter how little it may be, to a community that has given me so much.

*My uncle…the only person in a family full of non-gamblers(i hate the word gamble) who has pushed me to persue poker as a lucrative living.

*Myself…because I need too take a step up and not down. If your not getting better your getting worse!

At this point I dont feel the need to tell you a whole lot about myself as that will all come out over time.

I just returned from vegas…i currently live in palm springs ca.

I have been traveling to vegas (mon-fri) for the past month. I just recently booked my first losing week (-$2400)

In the past month I have taken down the friday night tourney at the orleans (5k), chopped the 50k guarentee at pechanga for a little over 4k, 7th in a $100 tourney on stars for about 3k along with numerous other ft\’s in the $12 180p s&gs on stars. Enough of that…just some background.

I want to take time to discuss some intersting hands of live play but that will have to wait until tomorrow as i have already done more writing than i did in high school…until next time
